ugh, this always happened to me this makes the (3rd count em!) hamster I've had & I just got him 'salem' on Dec 22 from a filthy pet shop. I've taken excellent care of him and he still has bloody diarrhea. I don't know if this is wet tail or not but again I feel as though I'm cursed in the hamster department. I bought a panda bear hamster today, and when I got home I was dismayed to find that he had wet tail. I took him back to the pet store, where the in-house vet treated him and told me he'd be fine in a few days if I fed him rodent block and baby carrots and kept him hydrated. Ok I am geting another hammy next month but cause of herbie and his wet tail I read i have to clean the hell out of the cage with animal disinfectant Is that what I should do? or should i use something else? opinions?

He has it=( The vet said it is 50-50 with survial:( We got these drops to give him and we just make sure he takes them and eats. Thats all we can do she said:( I prey he survives I cant go through another death:(
She think it was caused by stress as with them been so young it happens:(

Ok so mother rang the vet for herbie but they are fully booked till monday:( so i surgested taking him to the vets that are only an extra 5 minutes away from that one but she was like"no dont want to travel any further" ugh My parenst just think hamsters are not important and can be replaced just like that its so annoying.
